Building a baby registry for the first time can be overwhelming. You don't know what you need, you don't know what a Ladybug is or how you will use it. Before you build your baby registry take a look at these ESSENTIALS. With the help of a few Moms and Dads, I put together lists of the absolute essentials for Mom's postpartum care, breastfeeding, and formula feeding. AND a bonus fourth list for Dads - to guide them on how they can provide the best support to Mom and Baby postpartum, while also soaking up that precious time.

Ideally, you will have the postpartum care essentials for mom ordered before baby arrives!
I really want to encourage you to have a water bottle and a large variety of snacks by the side of your bed, the couch, and your nursing chair. You will need them! Dad can support a recovering & nursing mom by keeping these stations stocked.

Formula feeding is a team effort and you want to make it easy to feed on the go.
Dad can support Moms recovery by making all the bottles, taking turns feeding baby, and cleaning all the supplies in the early days.
On this essentials list you will find the most appreciated items for formula feeding at home & on the go!

My personal favorites (links included):
Most of these breastfeeding essential items will help making breastfeeding more comfortable over time and support collection and storage.
Dad can really support Mom by ensuring she is always well fed and watered, and doing the heavy lifting of changing diapers and taking on all time-sensitive household responsibilities.

My personal favorites (links included):
Dad, your support and dedication at this time is crucial. We want you to bond with your partner and your baby, and one of the best ways for you to bond is to provide them with exceptional care. Encourage Mom to rest & recover!
